9. There are standards such as EN 1436, as well as ONR 22441, 22440-1, 22440-2, etc., which address different aspects of this subject. However, they do not provide practical instructions, which has repeatedly led to differing interpretations and incorrect sampling procedures. The fact that this subject is being discussed widely is also confirmed by a request from the FGSV [German Road and Transportation Research Association] regarding existing documents or joint coordination in the drafting of national regulations.
