8. The draft regulations contain biosecurity measures for poultry.
The draft regulations also contain provisions on the notification of suspected or detected cases of animal diseases and infectious agents.
The draft regulations contain provisions on the surveillance of animal diseases and infectious agents.

9. The aim of the draft regulations is to supplement the EU’s Animal Health Regulation as regards provisions on biosecurity, notification obligations and surveillance of animal diseases.
The provisions are important in order to maintain the good animal health situation in Sweden. This is part of the work that has been ongoing for several years to bring Swedish legislation into line with the EU’s Animal Health Regulation.
The Regulation concerns (EU) 2016/429. All provisions are Swedish national provisions, which supplement Regulation (EU) 2016/428 [sic].
The principle of mutual recognition applies because of the primacy of EU law and therefore does not have to be included in Swedish regulations
