5. Draft Regulation amending Regulation No 8121h-444 of 2016 on the organisation and control of the security of banks and financial institutions

The draft proposes to eliminate the currently incorrect reference to repealed by-laws, compliance with the current legislation relevant to Regulation No 8121h-444, as well as a reference to the current Bulgarian state standards, which must be met by some of the elements used to ensure the physical protection of banks’ facilities.
The draft also provides for a change in order to comply with the norm of § 3 of the Additional Provisions of the Law on Credit Institutions (LCI), which contains the statutory delegation for the issuance of the Regulation with regard to its subject matter.

9. The need to amend Regulation No 8121h-444 of 3 May 2016 on the organisation and control of the security of banks and financial institutions (Regulation No 8121h-444) is necessary in order to bring it into line with the current legislation relevant to the Regulation.
Regulation No 8121h-444 also refers to Bulgarian state standards, which must be met by some of the elements used to ensure the physical protection of banks’ facilities, some of which are no longer relevant.
Next, § 3 of the Additional Provisions of the Law on Credit Institutions (LCI) was amended, as provided for by a joint regulation issued by the Minister of the Interior and the BNB Board of Directors to determine the organisation and control of the security of banks.
