6. Technical equipment used for the inspection of motor vehicles and their trailers, as referred to in Annex III to Ministerial Decree No 214 of 19 May 2017

The measure in question consists of 13 articles and 5 annexes, by which, pursuant to Ministerial Decree No 214 of 19 May 2017, the rules laid down in Circular No 88/95, as amended, on the methods for carrying out metrological compliance tests on equipment used for the inspection of motor vehicles and their trailers are updated, including with reference to harmonised standards UNI CEI ISO/IEC 17020/2012 and 17025/2018.

The adoption of the Decree is necessary to update the technical standards for carrying out metrological compliance tests on equipment used for the inspection of motor vehicles and their trailers, in accordance with Ministerial Decree No 214 of 19 May 2017, laying down the requirements for bodies carrying out checks on equipment on the basis of certifications issued in accordance with harmonised standards UNI CEI ISO/IEC 17020/2012 and 17025/2018.
