The ‘Technical delivery conditions for asphalt mixtures for the construction of traffic area pavements’, edition 2025 (TL Asphalt-StB 25) contains requirements for asphalt mixtures based on the European standard parts of the DIN EN 13108 series ‘Asphalt mixtures – Mixed material requirements’, edition 2006 (Part 1 ‘Asphalted concrete’, Part 5 ‘Stone mastic asphalt’, Part 6 ‘Poured asphalt’, Part 7 ‘Open-pored asphalt’ and Part 20 ‘Initial testing’). In addition, they contain the common and proven asphalt mixture types in Germany, SMA D LA (stone mastic asphalt for noise-optimised asphalt surface courses) and AC D DSH-V (asphalt concrete for thin asphalt surface courses in hot construction on sealant).

9. The TL Asphalt-StB 25 replaces the TL Asphalt-StB edition 2007/version 2013. For reasons of occupational health and safety, the laying of temperature-reduced asphalt (TA Asphalt) in asphalt road construction is becoming the standard construction method in Germany. Asphalt mixtures must therefore be produced and laid at a lower temperature. The necessary regulations for the production of temperature-reduced asphalt mixtures were adopted in the new edition of the TL Asphalt-StB. The measures taken in the past to increase durability in the regulations for asphalt road construction were further supplemented in the course of the revision.
