8. This draft Decree provides for cessation of the ecological bonus, a national aid scheme for the acquisition of new electric passenger cars by natural persons. These developments will enter into force on 1 July 2025.

As of 1 July, the scheme is replaced by subsidisation of standardised operation sheet TRA-EQ-117, which has been in force since 1 January 2025 as part of the energy efficiency certificates (EEC) scheme.

9. The switch from the ecological bonus to support through a subsidised EEC sheet permits greater support for all households, in the context of budgetary constraints.
