6. Perimeter lights of wide vehicles, brakes of bicycles, width of bicycles, blue flashing lights and special sound devices on bicycles used by police and placing reflectors on spokes.

8. The width of vehicles which must use perimeter lights shall be increased to 2.55 metres (formerly 2.50 metres).
Bicycle brakes must have a sufficiently effective braking device (there was previously an obligation to fit a brake on the front wheel and one on the rear wheel).
The width of bicycles is increased to 1 metre (formerly 75 cm).
The provision on placing reflectors on spokes is simplified; they must be clearly visible.
Police bicycles – may be equipped with a blue flashing light and a special sound device.

9. Determination of perimeter lights – compliance with technical regulations.
Bicycle brakes – the determination of brakes is simplified, one brake can be sufficient.
Bicycle width – to be coherent with the fact that in the highway code, cycles of up to 1 metre wide are equated with bicycles, and have to follow the same rules.
Placement of reflectors on spokes – the provision is clarified; it is now stated that they should be clearly visible, while previously a complicated explanation was given on precisely how they should be placed.
Police bicycles – the possibility is provided that local or federal police may use a blue flashing light and a siren on a bicycle.
