The Swedish National Board of Housing, Building and Planning is proposing new regulations on protection with regard to hygiene, health and the environment, water management and waste management in buildings. The regulations replace corresponding rules on hygiene, health and the environment, water management and waste management in the Board’s building rules (2011:6) – regulations and general advice, BBR.

9. The draft regulations specify in more detail:

1. Chapter 3, Section 9 of the Planning and Building Ordinance (2011:338) on technical characteristics requirements concerning protection with regard to hygiene, health and the environment;

2. Chapter 3, Section 20 of the Planning and Building Ordinance on technical characteristics requirements concerning water management; and

3. Chapter 8, Section 4, first paragraph, point 9 of the Planning and Building Act (2010:900) on technical characteristics requirements concerning waste management.
The regulations also contain provisions in relation to Chapter 8, Section 7 of the Planning and Building Act on the adjustment of technical characteristics requirements when modifying buildings and in relation to Chapter 10, Section 5 of the same Act on verification of compliance.
