The notified project consists of the provisions of the Director of the Revenue Agency concerning the ‘Definition of the information to be transmitted and the technical specifications for the implementation, approval and issue of the software solutions referred to in Article 24 of Legislative Decree No 1 of 8 January 2024 for the purposes of electronic storage and electronic transmission of the daily fee data referred to in Article 2 (1) of Legislative Decree No 127 of 5 August 2015’ and the technical specifications for the implementation, approval and operating release of Software Solutions.
The technical specifications, consisting of 12 chapters and 19 annexes, define the characteristics of the ‘Software Solution’ through which operate electronic storage and electronic transmission of data, identification of the information to be transmitted and its format and procedures to ensure the authenticity and integrity of the data stored and transmitted pursuant to Article 2 (1) of Legislative Decree No 127/2015.

9. The adoption of the notified measure is provided for in Legislative Decree No 1 of 8 January 2024. The purpose of the notified technical regulation is to simplify and make it less burdensome for obliged VAT operators to store and transmit fees electronically by using exclusively software solutions that ensure the security and unalterability of stored and transmitted data.
