8. The draft regulations contain biosecurity measures for poultry.
The draft regulations also contain provisions on the notification of suspected or detected cases of animal diseases and infectious agents.
The draft regulations contain provisions on the surveillance of animal diseases and infectious agents.

The draft regulations were sent on a technical round in November 2023 and received notification number
2023/0648/SE. However, the notification was withdrawn, and some adjustments have now been made to the draft regulations.
Therefore, two impact assessments are attached: the one from Nov 2023, and a new,
complementary one. The impact assessment dating back to 2023 was included when the regulations were notified in 2023.

9. The aim of the draft regulations is to supplement the EU’s Animal Health Regulation as regards provisions on biosecurity, notification obligations and surveillance of animal diseases.
The provisions are important in order to maintain the good animal health situation in Sweden. This is part of the work that has been ongoing for several years to adjust Swedish legislation to the EU’s Animal Health Regulation.
