5. The Swedish Police Authority's Regulations on Equipment for Patrol Officers

6. Uniforms, service signs, batons, handcuffs, safety helmets, certain equipment for vehicles and medical equipment for patrol officers. The proposal does not cover e-services.

The proposal contains provisions on uniforms and other equipment for security guards, how uniforms and equipment should be designed, the technical requirements for certain equipment (batons and handcuffs) and how equipment should be carried by patrol officers. Furthermore, the proposal contains provisions on the requirements for patrol officers' vehicles in order for them to be able to transport detained persons in the transport vehicles in question. The requirements for vehicles aim to ensure that transport can take place safely for both patrol officers and the person being transported. Finally, regulations are proposed regarding the medical equipment with which transport vehicles are to be equipped.

9. The purpose of the proposed regulations is to regulate uniforms and other equipment for patrol officers in a standardised and clear manner. One of the objectives of the revision of the regulations is to carry out the technical examination that the notification of technical regulations entails.
