The regulatory texts requiring new electric passenger cars to achieve a minimum environmental score in order to be eligible for support for the purchase or leasing of low-emission vehicles entered into force on 8 October 2023, 1 January 2024, 14 February 2024 and 2 December 2024 respectively. Going forward, only those versions of new electric passenger cars appearing on the list published by the Interministerial Order of 14 December 2023, reflecting their achievement of the minimum environmental score, will benefit from the above-mentioned support subject to compliance with the other eligibility criteria for this support. Following the entry into force of the 2025 Initial Budget Act, the environmental score is also included in the calculation of the annual incentive tax on the acquisition of low-emission light vehicles and in the assessment of the in-kind benefit linked to the provision of a vehicle.

The draft amending Order updates the list of versions of passenger cars that have achieved the score according to the new methodology that entered into force on 8 April 2025. It adds 75 versions to the 822 versions already appearing in the amended Order of 14 December 2023. It also amends regulatory references to the Energy Code in two orders.
