In the respective footnote 3 of Annex 1 Part II Nos. 4 and 5 of the Passenger Car Energy Consumption Labelling Ordinance (Pkw-EnVKV), the specific data in the templates there are replaced by placeholders, so that the templates can no longer deviate from any changes to the time limit of the exemption from motor vehicle tax. Furthermore, the duplicate sentence in Annex 2 Part II No. 4 is removed.

9. The draft regulation provides for the clarification of amendments to the Passenger Car Energy Consumption Labelling Ordinance (Pkw-EnVKV) notified under number 2023/0609/DE in order to eliminate the potential legal uncertainty regarding the indication of the time limit for the exemption from motor vehicle tax in the respective footnote 3 of Annex 1 Part II Nos. 4 and 5 of the Pkw-EnVKV on account of the planned extension of the motor vehicle tax exemption for purely electric vehicles with the Eighth Act Amending the Motor Vehicle Tax Act (Bundestag printed matter 21/2672, notified under number 2025/0672/DE), which is currently in the legislative process.
