8. This standard sets out production standards and general requirements to be met by operators using integrated production systems.

9. The purpose of this technical standard is to ensure that farmers produce high- quality and healthy agricultural products for consumers by applying environmentally friendly farming practices.
Agricultural modernisation requires the use of methods that reduce the use of chemical products and enable high-quality agricultural production, taking into account societal demands, farm profitability and environmental protection. These objectives may be achieved using integrated management techniques.
