5. Draft Government Decree on measures to be taken to relaunch the economy in relation to the export of raw materials and products of strategic importance for security of supply in the construction sector

6. Raw material and product of strategic importance for security of supply in the construction sector

8. The draft stipulates that raw materials and products of strategic importance for security of supply in the construction sector can be exported or sold with a licence. During the authorisation, the minister responsible for domestic economy examines whether the sale or export of building materials abroad significantly impedes or impairs the establishment, operation, maintenance or development of critical infrastructure.

9. The lack of building materials is a general trend globally and also in the EU, and the impact of this in Hungary threatens the completion of ongoing investments and the start-up of new ones.
Control of exports of the construction products included in the draft is necessary to ensure the establishment, operation, maintenance and development of critical infrastructure.
The regulation will help to relaunch Hungary’s economy following the coronavirus pandemic.
