5. Draft amendment and supplement to the Rules on the use of the radio frequency spectrum for electronic communications networks by satellite radio services after authorisation

6. Conditions of use of the radio frequency spectrum, including the specific technical parameters for the operation of electronic communications networks and the related facilities.

The Draft amendment and supplement to the Rules on the use of the radio frequency spectrum for electronic communications networks by satellite radio services shall authorise the use of the 401-402 MHz frequency band by satellite networks operating in the “Space Exploitation” radio service in the direction “space-to-Earth”.

9. By Decision No 347 of 30 September 2021, the Communications Regulation Commission (CRC) adopted the Rules on the use of the radio frequency spectrum for electronic communications networks by satellite radio services after authorisation, notified pursuant to Directive (EU) 2015/1535 by notification No 2021/353/BG. The Rules stipulate the conditions for use of the radio frequency spectrum, including the technical parameters for operation of electronic communication networks by satellite radio services after authorisation.
The 401-402 Mhz frequency band was designated for use by the “Space Exploitation” radio service in the direction “space-to-Earth” by Council of Ministerial Decision No 188 of 16 March 2023 amending the National Radio Frequency Spectrum Assignment Plan.
