8. New and clarified technical requirements for limiting the design speed of an A-tractor and for designing, positioning, and mounting the LGF plate of an A-tractor.

The Regulations have already been notified, see 2002/0415/S and 2023/0503/SE, the Swedish Road Administration’s Regulations (VVFS 2003:19) on vehicles converted into tractors and vehicles converted into class II motorised tools.

The mutual recognition clause has already been included in Chapter 1, Section 1a.

9. The purpose of the draft Regulations is to make it more difficult to manipulate the speed limitation device of an A-tractor without visible intervention, and thus make it easier to prove when it has been tampered with and how it has been tampered with.

Furthermore, the aim is to increase the proportion of A-tractors with LGF signs that fulfil their purpose and thus contribute to increased road safety.
