8. The Danish Gambling Authority's certification programme for online betting, land-based betting and online casinos is intended to help protect players by ensuring that games based on
chance are also conducted randomly, that players have access to game rules, information on their gaming account, etc. The certification programme also includes requirements regarding the frequency of certification, requirements for documentation of certifications and requirements for the accredited testing enterprises that perform certification of gambling operators and game suppliers licensed in Denmark.

9. The Danish Gambling Authority’s certification programme for online betting, land-based betting and online casinos is being updated, as there will no longer be a requirement for RNGs and games to be certified at a fixed frequency of 12 months. In future, RNGs and games must be certified when changes are made to the RNG or game components in question.

The following documents will be updated:
SCP.01.00 Requirements for RNGs: Sections 2.1, 2.1.1 and 2.1.2 are amended. Section 2.1.3 is deleted as it is no longer relevant.
SCP.06.00 System change management programme: Section 4.4.1 is amended.
SCP.07.01 Requirements for gambling – online betting: Sections 2.1, 2.1.1 and 2.1.2 are amended. Section 2.1.3 is deleted as it is no longer relevant.
SCP.07.02 Requirements for gambling – land-based betting: Sections 2.1, 2.1.1 and 2.1.2 are amended. Section 2.1.3 is deleted as it is no longer relevant.
SCP.07.03 Requirements for gambling – online casinos: Sections 2.1, 2.1.1 and 2.1.2 are amended. Section 2.1.3 is deleted as it is no longer relevant.

Only the amendments are being notified, as the certification programme has already been notified in its entirety. Please refer to notification 2024/0540/DK.
