8. This draft order sets out provisions regulating the placement on the market and use of plant protection products and their additives. In particular, it establishes the maximum wind speed above which these products may not be applied if sprayed or dusted, the intervals to be observed between application of the product and harvesting, and the minimum re-entry interval applicable to agricultural workers following use of the products. It also lays down provisions to limit localised pollution, particularly in relation to the application and drainage of plant protection product effluents. Furthermore, it includes measures aimed at avoiding the pollution of watercourses by drifting spray or run-off from these products. This draft text concerns holders of and applicants for market authorisations and parallel trade and experimentation permits for plant protection products and their additives, as well as users of these products and agricultural workers.

9. This draft text updates those provisions of the Order of 12 September 2006 that have the same purpose and repeals said order.
