The database contains the text of Act No 22/1997 of 24 January 1997 on technical product requirements and amending certain acts, as amended, with split effect (until 31 December 2023 and from 1 January 2024). The text of Government Regulation No 163/2002 of 6 March 2002 laying down technical requirements for selected construction products, as amended, has also been uploaded.

9. The proposed Government Regulation amending Government Regulation No 163/2002 laying down technical requirements for selected construction products, as amended, is implementing legislation for Act No 22/1997 on technical product requirements and amending certain acts, as amended.
The reason for submitting the draft is the need to better ensure compliance with the requirements for construction works pursuant to § 156 of the Building Act as regards construction products not covered by harmonising European legislation [Regulation (EU) No 305/2011 of the European Parliament and of the Council]. The designer of a structure should have at his disposal the same comprehensive and credible proof of product characteristics as is the case in the harmonised area. Therefore, it is proposed to bring the content of the declaration of conformity issued by the manufacturer closer to its harmonised equivalent – the declaration of performance. Furthermore, it is proposed that construction products shall now be marked with the Czech conformity mark CCZ – similar to the European CE mark. These changes will contribute to the achievement of higher quality and safety of buildings.
