The provisions state that aid may be granted for the purchase of heavy-duty trucks that are either zero-emission vehicles or clean vehicles in accordance with Commission Regulation (EU) No 651/2014 of 17 June 2014 declaring certain categories of aid compatible with the internal market in application of Articles 107 and 108 of the Treaty (GBER). Aid may also be granted for the purchase of light-duty electric trucks and working machines (motorised machinery including tractors). The aid intensities have been adjusted in line with the changes to the GBER. For zero-emission heavy-duty trucks, this means aid is differentiated depending on the size of the enterprise, and the aid intensity is limited to a maximum of 25 per cent of the purchase cost (national limitation). For environmental trucks that are clean vehicles, the aid intensity is differentiated depending on the size of the enterprise, and the aid intensity is limited to a maximum of 20 per cent of the purchase cost (national limitation). For light-duty electric trucks, the maximum aid intensity is 30 per cent of the eligible cost, but no more than SEK 50 000. This fixed aid amount will be reduced from 1 January 2025 to SEK 40 000. The amount will be further reduced from 1 July 2025 to SEK 30 000. The aid for light-duty electric trucks will start to be phased out from 1 October 2025. After that date, aid for light-duty electric trucks may no longer be granted.

These changes are now being notified under four separate notifications.

9. The aims of State aid for certain environmental vehicles is to promote the market introduction of more environmentally friendly light-duty trucks and heavy-duty trucks as well as working machines (motorised machinery including tractors).
The aim of the amendments is to introduce new State aid for the purchase of light-duty electric trucks and to adapt the national Ordinance to changes made in the GBER.

The aid may be granted for light-duty electric trucks powered exclusively by electricity, heavy-duty trucks that are either zero-emission vehicles or clean vehicles under the GBER and working machines powered by electricity or hydrogen in accordance with the requirements of the GBER. The premium may be paid up to the maximum amounts specified in Sections 8-8c.
