8. The regulations govern how the information in, i.e. the content of, the master plans is to be identified digitally.

The National Board of Housing, Building and Planning’s regulations on master plans specify in greater detail the requirements of Chapter 2, Section 5c of the Planning and Building Ordinance (2011: 338). The regulations are intended to support the municipalities in producing a digital master plan. They shall ensure that the content of the plan complies with the content requirements under Chapter 3 of the Planning and Building Act (2010: 900) and that the information can be exchanged digitally.

The regulations do not add any further substantive requirements and do not impose greater notification requirements than the Planning and Building Act. The regulations do not govern how the information is presented in a master plan or how text-based information, media, spatial data or other information should interrelate.
