6. Technical equipment for implementing measures for telecommunications surveillance and information disclosure in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany

8. Version 8.4 differs from its predecessor version, Version 8.3, through updates in Part A, Annex D due to the extensions in the 3GPP specification TS 33.128 and the RCS service. Furthermore, the regulations in Part A, Annex E, concerning the transfer points for voicemail and unified messaging systems will be consolidated. Additionally, adjustments will be made to the time specifications, the reporting of public IP addresses for internet access, AAA information, and other parameter descriptions for the email service.

Details are listed at the end of the Technical Guideline under "Version Overview" in the table row "8.4" (see the last page of the Technical Guideline submitted for notification, page 145).

9. The adaptation of the Technical Guideline is necessary in order to provide operators and, in particular manufacturers and developers of technical equipment, with the detailed specifications required to implement and supplement the corresponding ETSI standards for the technical design of equipment for the legally regulated areas of:

a) measures for telecommunications surveillance;
b) information disclosure on subscriber and traffic data

and which are essential for the interaction of such equipment with the equipment of the law enforcement and security authorities.
