6. Technical equipment for implementing telecommunications surveillance and information disclosure measures in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany

8. Edition 8.2 differs from its predecessor version, TR TKÜV Edition 8.1, by additional provisions on the 3GPP specification TS 33.128 and changes to the requirements for providing a full monitoring copy.

Details are listed at the end of the Technical Guideline under the item ‘Summary of Edition’ in table row 8.2 (see last page of the Technical Guideline submitted for notification, page 131).

9. The adaptation of the Technical Guideline is necessary in order to provide operators and in particular the manufacturers and developers of the technical equipment with the detailed specifications which, in implementation and supplementation of the corresponding ETSI and 3GPP standards, are required for the technical design of equipment for the areas regulated by law:

a) measures for telecommunications surveillance;
b) cooperation in technical investigative measures regarding mobile terminals; and
c) disclosure of information on inventory and traffic data;

and which are essential for the interaction of such equipment with that of the law enforcement and security authorities.
