8. Non-automatic weighing instruments used for landing fish must have a display or other clear reading option placed in or by the weighing instrument.
The measured quantity must be able to read continuously. When the weighing instrument is in use, the weighted quantity must be able to read directly.
9. The regulation of wighing instruments in the fishing industry must ensure that the financial settlement is correct and that the resources taken up by the sea are controlled.
Weighing instruments used when landing and receiving fish must therefore have special features compared to weighing instruments used in other areas. These are features that will make it difficult to use and manipulate the weighing instruments, as well as increase the ability to detect any manipulation. Such features are considered crucial for a weight to be suitable for use when landing and receiving fish.
