8. The draft Royal Decree provides for:

1) the adding of a new Chapter 7.22. in Section 7 (Rules for Special Installations and Locations) of Book 1 of the new General Regulation for Electrical Installations concerning safety measures related to the power supply of road electric vehicles;

2) the adaptation of certain technical terms in Books 1 and 3 of the new General Regulation for Electrical Installations (the differential-residual current protection provision and the dedicated circuit with the addition of a definition)

9. The draft Royal Decree is part of the ongoing development and updating of the new General Regulation for Electrical Installations in force in Belgium since 1 June 2020, i.e., to incorporate the new necessary parts in its content in order to regulate electrical installations built in Belgium and new technologies and, on the other hand, to develop its terminology.
