8. The new Draft of the Act implements Regulation (EU) No 305/2011 of the European Parliament and Council of 9 March 2011 laying down harmonised conditions for the marketing of construction products and repealing Council Directive 89/106/EEC for the conditions of the Slovak legal order, regulates the conditions of placing construction products onto the Slovak Republic market within the scope of said Regulation and establishes the authorities applying the Regulation. The Draft of the Act is a statutory Regulation of the tasks of the domestic authorities which the Regulation will entail for the Slovak Republic, including the required notifications, state supervision of the domestic authorities’ duties and of the domestic market, and the regulation of penalties for violating the established rules.

The Draft of the Act implements into the Slovakia legal order Regulation (EU) No 305/2011 of the European Parliament and Council of 9 March 2011 laying down harmonised conditions for the marketing of construction products and repealing Council Directive 89/106/EEC of 21 December 1988 on the approximation of laws, regulations and administrative provisions of the Member States relating to construction products, as amended by Council Directive 93/68/EEC and Regulation of the European Parliament and Council (EC) 1882/2003. At the same time, it replaces the currently valid Act No 90/1998 Coll. on construction products, as amended, which transposed Council Directive 89/106/EEC (OJ EU L 88, 4 April 2011) into the Slovak legal order.
